Vishal Mehta is the Chairman & Managing Director of Infibeam Avenues Limited. He shoulders an imperative role in building and scaling a world-class team that designs innovative digital solutions and powers financial transactions globally under their flagship brand CCAvenue, with a vision to be a global fintech engine.

His ambition is to nurture Infibeam Avenues into a global digital payment infrastructure network, wherein as a network, its role will be to process global financial transactions; enabling smooth transactional experience for enterprises, corporates, startups, merchants, and governments globally.

Vishal holds degrees in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, USA and management degree from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management. After completion of his graduate studies, he joined Amazon headquarters where he played a key role in revitalizing technology and brought spurt in finance and corporate development.

After spending ten years of his life in the US, he returned to India in 2007 with several colleagues from Amazon and founded Infibeam, making it one of the largest fintech, software and payment infrastructure company; doing more than twenty billion dollars of transactions annually across more than a million merchants.

Mr. Vishwas Patel is the Joint Managing Director at Infibeam Avenues Limited (“IAL” or “Company”), and Founder & CEO of the Company’s Payments business.

Mr. Vishwas Patel is the founder of the payment gateway brand, CCAvenue, founded in the year 2001. CCAvenue is among the top 3 online payment gateway platforms in India and also ranks number 2 in the UAE among non-bank private digital payment companies. CCAvenue was recently honored with the Economic Times Best BFSI Brands 2021 Accolade and has been selected second year in a row as among India’s renowned and most trusted brands by Superbrands India.

Under his leadership IAL has developed a full stack payments portfolio covering Payments Acquiring, Payments Issuance, Domestic and International Remittance and Assisted Commerce in financial services.He has also expanded payments business in international markets covering UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the USA, and plans to expand in multiple geographies in the coming years to make the payments business global.

Mr. Patel has studied law and was a practicing counsel on the original side of the Bombay High Court.

Mr. Vishwas Patel has made significant contribution towards shaping and giving direction to the digital payments industry for nearly two decades in India.

He is currently the Chairman of the Payments Council of India, the primary industry body representing all the digital payments providers in India. PCI works closely with the regulators i.e. Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Finance Ministry and any similar government, departments, bodies or Institution to make ‘India a less cash society’. He also serves as a member in various RBI committees to deepen digital payments in India.

In recognition of his path-breaking accomplishments and stellar contributions as an industry leader in the Indian Fintech sector over the past two decades, he has been conferred many awards; Entrepreneur of the Year in Service Business – SaS & IT at the Entrepreneur Awards 2020, Intellectual Explorer Award 2020, Payments Entrepreneur of the Year accolade at the Payments & Cards Awards 2019, Asia Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements Award 2007.

Mr. Piyushkumar Sinha holds Ph. D. in the subject of Management. He is Director, CRI Advisory and Research. He more than 40 years of Advisory, Research and Training as well as Managerial experience in marketing, sales, retailing, service and business strategy for product as well as service companies (B2Cand B2B), in the domains of Retailing and E-Commerce; Luxury and Lifestyle; Healthcare; Decision Sciences and IT. He has been involved in more than 100 advisory and training initiatives in these areas.

He was a Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India till March 2018. Before IIMA, he taught at IIM Bangalore, XIMB and was Dean at MICA. He has published articles in International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Research, Journal of Brand Management, QMR: An International Research Journal; FQS: Forum Qualitative Sozialforschung / Forum: Qualitative Social Research [On-line Journal] and Vikalpa. He has served on the editorial board of International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences and was the Resident Editor for AMS Review. He has published several books. He is one of the few resources in qualitative research in the country.

Narayanan Sadanandan, former MD & CEO of SBI Pension Funds, joined the company as an Independent Director. He brings a wealth of experience spanning over four decades in banking, digital banking, banking regulation, and finance. He joins an esteemed group of independent directors currently serving on the board, further enhancing the company’s governance framework. His appointment is effective for a five-year term.

Sadanandan’s illustrious career includes significant roles such as CEO of SBI’s Frankfurt Branch, Head of the Financial Institution Group in the International Banking Group at SBI, Group Head of Capital Markets at SBI Capital Markets Ltd., and Chief General Manager of SME at SBI, before superannuating as MD & CEO of SBI Pension Funds Private Ltd. Post retirement, he served as a Senior Advisor to SBI and SBI Capital Markets Ltd. He is currently a Senior Advisor to Modulus Alternatives Investment Managers Ltd., and serves on various boards as an Independent Director.

Ms. Girija Krishan Varma holds B.A. degree in Psychology and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Delhi University, Master of Laws (LL.M) from Cornell University and Master of Science of Law (J.S.M.) degree from Stanford University.

Ms. Varma is an Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). She was previously associated in legal roles with Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, Escorts Limited as well as HCL – Hewlett Packard Limited.

In the past, she has played a key role in establishing a leading Intellectual Property (IP) and law training institute, contributing to the development of legal and IP practice. She holds affiliations with prestigious institutions including British Council Chevening Scholars, Association of British Scholars, Stanford & Cornell University (USA), WIPO, INTA (USA), SIAC, SIMI, SICC (Singapore), IMI, AEA (Europe).
